Town midfielder Josh Carson won his second full cap as Northern Ireland lost their final Carling Nations Cup match 2-0 to Wales in Dublin this evening. Aaron Ramsey and Robert Earnshaw netted a goal in each half for the dominant Welsh.

Goals from Damien Delaney, David Norris and a stunning third from Connor Wickham saw the Blues to a 3-0 victory over nine-man Sheffield United. Delaney put Town in front with a header in a very poor first half with Norris adding the second after the break. Grant Leadbitter missed a penalty before Wickham brilliantly ran from his own half to seal the win, prior to Robert Kozluk and Lee Williamson receiving red cards within a minute during the closing stages.

Bullard’s fellow transfer window signing Andy Drury is unavailable having completed his move too late to be involved against the Rams.

Town boss Roy Keane says David Norris has an outside chance of being fit for Saturday’s visit to Hull City, a club where the Blues skipper once had a loan spell. On-loan Celtic defender Darren O’Dea is also a doubt for the visit to the KC Stadium after picking up a minor hamstring injury while away with Ireland earlier in the week.

Town looked set to win 2-1 in normal time until Ryan Harley lashed in a superb equaliser, his second goal of the game, but Norris netted the winner in the first half of the additional 30 minutes.
